Dragon Trash Guardian
Port Townsend, Washington 2022 Artist in Residency In 2022, Carol was accepted as the first artist in residence at the Jefferson Transfer Station, where the community of Port Townsend would dump thier trash, recylce cardbord, plastics and electronics. It was a fascinating experience as Carol was told she could take anything from the dump to create a an outdoor public art sculpture, made of all upcycled materials. Carol spent 3 months gathering and building. After interviewing all the staff, they were assigned to also, save things from the dump, that appealed to them and that whatever they saved Carol would incorporate into the design. Carol completed research on the surrounding land and indigenous population and found the story of the draggon who saved humans from climate devastation. Carol incorportated this story into her design and decided to build a climate steward occampanied by the dragon. The sculpture was built out of cement, foam, and wire.
Segura River - Blanca, Spain
3 Month long Installation,; village interviews (3 specific villages 30 minutes from each other - the first closest to the damn, the next 30 min from the damn, and the last one - closest to the sea), studies of the water cycle, bird migration and choking of the river due to invasive bamboo islands, then community workshop labs where participants learned mono-print technique to express the changes they have seen living along the Segura River over time, decades, lineage. Culminating in one large scale installation made of community artwork and stories, hung to represent the walking through the river, along waves of water.
Campfire Stories - Environmental Leadership Awards
Commissioned to create stage center piece from recycled/up-cycled materials and that could be recycled/Up-cycled after usage. Turned this opportunity into a 2 day workshop to build S2 Board leadership & comradely. Together we built 30 center table tiny fireplace pieces, for each table during the S2 annual leadership Award fundraiser.
Healing Forest 2
Healing forest was a installation designed for the public to take action by creating a piece of artwork and to place it on one of the trees (1. 99%, 2. LGBTQ+, 3. Women & 4. Education) as committing to public support. This installation was accepted in to the Seattle Design Festival 2018 and then placed for 2 months into another gallery.

The 1 Million Species Eradication
The 1 Million - Multiple Species Eradication explores bio-/multi-species extinctions and species affected by humanity's mass resource extraction.
